A perfect first doll!
I've gotten this doll for my granddaughter's first Christmas. I am ever so pleased with the quality of workmanship. The facial features are stitched on, she's soft and huggable, just the right size for our little girl, the hair is not yarn, and this doll has no plastic or vinyl on her.
I do have a concern about the laces on the shoes for a child so young, but my daughter assures me that they will be removed and not used until our granddaughter is of an age that they will not longer pose a danger.
I am not purchasing additional clothing for her (although I love the clothing that could be purchased) because I remember that my children's dolls mostly went around naked for quite a while when my girls were little, and I feel it would be better to wait until the dolls stay clothed before making that purchase.
I do recommend this doll. She's just right for us. I can hardly wait for Christmas!

Earth's Best makes fantastic natural, organic, glass-jarred baby foods. I don't know if exposing my baby to plasticizers and pesticides would have any harmful long-term effects but I'd rather not take the chance.

Others have complained about the price. . . I don't see this as a reason to give a 1-star review. At the moment, Amazon charges about a dollar per jar, which seems pretty reasonable to deliver something fragile and heavy to my door.

It really works!!!
My baby is about 11 weeks old and has a lot of mucus in her nose. She has been having trouble sleeping and breastfeeding due to the congestion. The doctor says she isn't sick it is just normal baby congestion whatever that means. We tried the bulb syringe but she hates it and throws a fit when she sees it coming and it was rather ineffective. I was desperate to find something else so I did some searching and found this interesting item. It is wonderful and so worth the money.

The first time I tried it I was ready for her to cry and pitch a fit but nothing happened. My husband held her upright and talked to her and she smiled and cooed the whole time. Believe it or not, I had seen a device similar to this on the show Dirty Jobs (used to collect Turkey semen) so I already understood how it worked and knew I wasn't going to get anything yucky in my mouth. I did about three suctions in each nostril and stuff came out every time. Most of it collected in the white part of the device but I did get a little in the bottom of the cup. It didn't take a lot of suction in fact not much more that drinking from a straw in my opinion. After we finished she was clear for the first time in days...woo hoo. I could hear an immediate difference. I'm hoping we all get to sleep a little more tonight!! I'm betting this will work even better with some saline drops but I wanted to see what it would do on its own the first time.

I cleaned it easily with warm water and a little dish soap. I'm a germaphobe so I also used the tiny brush that came with my Dr. Browns bottles to clean the inside of the device, it fit perfectly. Lastly I put a cup of water in the microwave for a minute and used some metal kitchen tongs to dip each part for a few seconds. Everything comes out very clean. It says in the directions not to get the collection cup too hot so I only dipped it briefly. I always hated that I couldn't really clean my bulb syringe but this thing can really be cleaned and boy was it easy!

Update: Our baby is now 4 months old and we still use this item often. I still think it is great! Unbelievably my son (2&1/2) can use it on himself...he wanted to try, I let him, and he cleared his own nose. My husband and I both use it on the baby and often get enough mucus that a small amount collects in the clear cup. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to be able to take a baby that is having trouble nursing, suction her nose quickly and easily, and then watch, as she is able to nurse with ease again. I frequently use it just after adding some saline drops to her nose and that makes this product work even better. A few months later this is still worth the money and very cool.

Irritated my 3 month old
I usually don't buy products when they first com out, but i thought this one was a great product. My three month old, like most other babies, has quite a few skinfold on her little neck, where moisture collects, and irrates the skin. I usually use regular powder, but am always worried about that, since i've heard it being harmful when inhaled. So, as soon as i saw this liquid powder i've bought two bottles. The first time i used in on my three month olds neck, she seemed very irritated and cried a lot. i've washed it off and she stopped crying. i thought it was a fluke. I used thi powder three more times over two weeks and every time she cried until i washed her neck. so, if you decide to use this on your child, watch closely for signs of irritation.

COULDN'T DO WITHOUT IT!!!!!!
I had just an audio monitor before my mother-in-law bought me a different video monitor. I did not like the video one she bought, so I took it back and ordered this one. I AM SOOOOOO impressed with the quality of this monitor compared to the other video monitor. This is a great monitor with several excellent features. We have wireless internet, etc. in our home and I've never had any interference. The picture quality is great. At night it automatically switches to night-vision. Most video monitors you have to manually switch on the camera each time. There is a button you can press (I use this feature during the night to keep our bedroom darker) so the picture turns off unless there is noise. If there is noise it automatically triggers the picture back on so you can see your baby. There is even a music feature. You can touch a button or your receiver and music plays from the camera (I do not use this feature). I turn it off while I'm at work, and charge it at night while I sleep on my night stand. It comes with a re-chargable battery pack. I've had this for 2 months now and would not use anything else.
